Vicky Raphael is a Nlaka'pamux from the Lytton First Nation, mother, sister and aunt to many and a teacher within the SD 22 Aboriginal Education Department. Her role is multilayered; building relationships, supporting, collaborating with students, teachers, administration and community to authentically incorporate aboriginal content, views and perspectives into teaching and learning.

Participants will explore their own identity through an activity from Stories of Our Sqilxw Ways (2016). “Swit askwist?" In the language of the Okanagan-Syilx, the question asks, “Who is your name?"
